Who are you?

I have seen this done around bloggy land lately, and since I am a follower, I figured that I would go ahead and do it too!

I love that people read and comment on this little blog that is my life. I appreciate every single one of you and want you to know that! You have all helped me grow so much over the last year and I have needed to do some growin, let me tell you. It is so nice to have a community to bounce ideas off of, get real advice from, hear others experiences and so much more.

So, if you read this, please comment and tell me who you are and why you blog! I want to know more about you all!!!!

  2. It started as court ordered community service, but then blossomed into something more.

  3. It's me and you already know waaaaay too much about me. However, one of the major reasons I started my blog was to meet women like you! And I'm so grateful that I did, that you live here and for our blog and IRL friendship.

  4. Hi My name is Sage and I blog,

I blog to kill some boredom. Also because someone made my blog and gave it to me to blog so I couldn't hardly keep from doing it now could I?

  5. Well, you know me, to an extent anyway, and I blog because I need to be connected to people outside my everyday life, and to listen to and HEAR other people's views/lifestyles/etc.

  6. its me, you know me and why do I blog... because somewhere in this small world there is a person that will touch you like you have never been touched before or could be touched again... I love the feel of that touch

  8. Hi! I'm Kacie. I am a 23 year old single mama to an 8 month old little girl.

I think I blog to figure things out. I have always been the kind of person who needs to bounce their thoughts back and forth with someone else, and blogging is good when you don't want to confide in someone in real life. My life has taken such a drastic turn from where I thought it would be, and blogging helps me process all of it.

There are more reasons too! Blogging is more fun than a baby book, encourages me to take pictures,to reflect on my life.

Reading other people's blogs inspire me, entertain me, encourage me...all kinds of good things.

  9. I originally started blogging to get back in touch with my oldest brother. He doesn't blog anymore that I am aware of....
Now I'm an attention whore. I get off on people commenting about my poetry and weird and wild ways....

  10. I just wanted to come by and say thank you for coming by from Sage's and offering your support. I think you are right. There is something very special about bloggers and they do help us grow and heal. Again, thank you for being so kind. That was a hard post to write and it was good to see some feedback. xox Beryl

  11. I love reading your blog! It's always interesting, especially as you go through awarenesses. Oh, and because you occasionally post a hot pic. Haha.

Why I blog: I started doing it to build a "platform" to help me become a published author. I have more reasons now - I'm part of a community, I like hearing what others are up to, and hearing their thoughts when I put an idea out there. It keeps me grounded and connected in a virtual way!

  12. I started blogging back in 2003 because my friends in college were doing it. I am still here and they are long gone. But it's therapeutic to me, and I love my readers' opinions.

  13. Lol. I blog because I'm an attention-whore. :o)

I love reading other people's blogs because its more entertaining to me than the television. It's real people and real situations with just as much drama and laughter, but with no commercial breaks.

  14. I have many blogs but you know me from my single mommy/post divorce blog. My writing started out just as a way for me to process my thoughts and feelings through a very difficult time. Along the way I've had many women in my same position reach out to me and ask for guidance and help. I LOVE that. I'm not really sure where my blog is going now that I'm so ridiculously happy...we'll have to wait and see.

I love reading other single mom blogs because everyone has a different insight and perspective on things that I find great wisdom in. I take a little bit of what I learn from everyone and mix it into my own life.

  15. Hmmmm....damn, what a question. Perhaps because I can't seem to find the switch. I wander the house, bare feet slap lightly on wooden floors...whiskey soft and lovely in the glass; I watch the moon rise....and set. If I could turn it off...the thoughts and wonderings. Beauty and passion and horror...anger, pain...the slick pulsing sensuality that is life.

If I don't write...it builds into a crescendo, a wave that will engulf me. I write to avoid drowning.

  17. Hey Danielle - I think you probably know lots about me already from my blog.

I started blogging because I have always wanted to be a writer but was uncertain if anyone would want to read my writing!

  18. I blog because it's an outlet for my narcissism. Seriously.

Ok maybe not. I blog because I like writing, and telling stories and having fabulous people such as yourself comment on my mindless blatherings.

  20. I blog to vent. Because I am alone in a tiny town with no friends or family for at least 1,000 miles. I vent because it finally allowed me to be who I am inside. Without feeling like I needed to hide the real me and allowing myself to really find out who I really was. It has now become so much a part of me that I can't imagine life without it. It to me is just like hanging out with friends. Good friends who I can tell anything to. Good friends who tell me anything. And every day I get to meet new friends and read new stories and feel more supported. It's an amazing feeling. :) (there is my nutshell.... I may do this to!)

  22. Umm. Yeah. The blog began as my effort to build a readership and increase my marketability in the publishing world. Now, I blog because I love to write and have become a member of an awesome community. I've been sucked in. Now I'll never be able to stop...

  24. I started blogging from a broken heart and a need to write. I now love writing and am working on my first book and live the life of a crazed writer on my new home...a boat. My life has changed dramatically since the broken heart...and though I do still very much love her, the pain is much more bearable and I am beginning to realize that maybe there is much more to life than just being in love.

I enjoy reading your blog immensely!!! Let me know when you publish a book!!
