I babble because I am old!

Yep, it is true, I am officially old! I turned 40 this week and it freaks me the F-word out!!!! My next big one is 50! Ugg, how did this happen? Just yesterday I was a young whipper snapper, going to bars and living the carefree life! Ok, not really. I have never been carefree. It is just not how I am built. But really, I think this is going to be a good time for me and I am trying not to see the “age” part as a bad thing. Anyway, I am 40 and I don’t want any wise cracks from any of you young folk!


I also want to thank everyone for the advice on my last post. I need all the help I can get when it comes to this parenting stuff! You all helped me a ton and I am really starting to stand my ground and in a more mellow way. Hopefully I will see result before I go poor and turn into a grape!

I am playing soccer 2 times a week now and working out 4-5 times a week with a trainer/partner. I hope it is helping with some of my turning 40 body issues! Another words, I don’t want to have them so I am killing myself with workouts! Yes, I have issues but they could be worse.

    I'm turning 42 in November. Trust me. It's a good thing.

    I wrote a piece recently that talks about how aging is an opportunity. It really is. And we all do it, so that is the GOOD news.

    Now, If I could just figure out how to get my 20 year old body back.

    I turned 40 three years ago, I think 40 is sexy, I have allways been attracted to 40ish woman, even when I was 20.

    They say sex is at its peak for women in their 40s - I'll be waiting for some reports while I still enjoy the last years in my 30s!

    I also want to get in great shape for when I hit that number. I'm thinking a personal trainer would be the way to go.

    I'm trying to take care of my 30 something body issues... heaven forbid I"m still doing that at 40!!!

    You are awesome. You know, I play soccer also, well use to... I should go find a league and play again. Sigh.

    Age is a number... you don't look 40 and that is all that matters.

    Happy Birthday hottie! I think with each "big" birthday I'm going to have some sort of crisis. I did at 30 but got over it. Eventually. 40 is gonna be great for you!

    I'm older than you, quit your bitching...hey, I know we don't live near each other, but we should commit to doing a figure comp then we could inspire and motivate each other...whaddya think?...ok, I didn't think so, not after your post about needing more money for wine...but you never know, you might want to rock the body of a 20 year old (and you could with diet and exercise!) at the ripe old rickety age of 40...I'm just sayin'...we could pair up, and write together a weekly blog about our progress...hey, as I'm writing this, I'm thinking that would be a terrific idea!

    40 Really---honestly---so young
    Hey, they are only numbers---I know people who are old at 30 and people who are young at 70---so take your pick---it's only a number----it just puts you into another group for the surveys.
    Now remember, now that you're nearly grown up, you will have to start to behave and make some decissions on what you want to be when you grow up

    Hi,I am 41 years old and I have two beautiful kids.I don't feel old at heart,yet I feel very much at youth inside,rather than outside.

    I think every woman, midlife should take care of her body and face,so everytime she looks into the mirror,she laughs and smiles....!Wahhh laaa!! She likes it!!!!
